Come tour the Luna Homestead with us

How to visit the Homestead

There are several ways in which you can visit us on the Homestead.  You can come for an hour, a day, or stay for the week, the choice is yours.  Our Homestead is a walk back in time, a much simpler time, when tractors were small and easy to fix, cows were moved through the fields, and chickens roamed the yard in search of bugs.

We have over 4 km of hiking trails that wander through our forests and meadows, past ancient trees, a meandering creek, and along the way…you’re sure to meet our fluffy good (Highland Cattle).

Book a Trail Pass and roam our Homestead with your family for the day, come to our Open House Tour to learn how we farm, stay in our off grid 24′ Yurt Accommodation and immerse yourself in nature, or choose one of our Campsites to spend a night or two.

If that REAL homestead experience is what you’re after…then join us for a Farm Stay.  Live, work, and play on the farm for a night or two…or spend the week.  Work is always variable but what a great way to see how a Homestead works.

We’re excited to see you, no matter how you make it to the farm, you’re bound to fall in love with homestead life, and feel like you’ve truly returned home.

Farm Stays at Luna

Agro-tourism is newest, hottest way to vacation and gain some education on homesteading and sustainable agriculture; while resetting yourself to the circadian rhythms of nature.

We are excited to offer weekend and 5 day Farm Stays at LUNA for singles, couples or families up to 4 people.

You and your family get to stay in our off grid Yurt, nestled in the forest.

This Yurt boasts a full kitchen, dining area, Queen bed, loft space, and full bathroom (toilet, shower and sink). It’s clean, cozy and relaxing.

During the day you and your family will get to partake in all of the activities that homesteading and farm life provide. You may find yourself here on hay days-loading hay-wagons and driving tractors, in garden weeding, planting or harvesting, brushing cows and than goats, mucking stalls, collecting eggs, building and moving cow pastures, building fences, chopping wood, is alway something exciting to do on the farm!

Your stay allows you and your family the opportunity to try your hand at both living off the grid in an alternative dwelling and homesteading/farming!

And of course hard work leads to deep rest in nature. So break up your farm day with swimming in the pond, hiking our trails and napping in hammocks.

Trish and Dave will onsite for all Farm Stays to educate you and your family on homesteading, off grid life and farming.
